Welcome to Radio Local – a brand new radio station, broadcasting live, straight from your high street – for one day only.
Hosted by deadpan duo Hunt & Darton, Radio Local is exactly that: local. It’s built with, by and for local people, telling your stories, sharing your news, playing your jingles. There are loads of different ways to get involved with the project.
Please take a look through to find out how – as it wouldn’t be local without you!
Hunt & Darton is a Live Art collaboration between artists JENNY HUNT and HOLLY DARTON. They have been working together for over a decade sustaining a performance practice routed in their Fine Art background having met studying at Central Saint Martins (London). They work across mediums – often creating installations to perform within most of which take on recognisable day to day formats in public arenas.
The Radio Local Live Broadcast needs you to help make it happen.
Come take a seat, have a cup of tea and listen live. Check in, pop back, come and go as you like – though Hunt & Darton reserve the right to reward those who stick around the longest!
Be sure to make it back for the End of Programme Countdown Party at 7pm!
If you cant make it to the broadcast you can join in at home too! Listen live on the Radio Wirral App and stay in touch on social media with #RadioLocalWirral.
